Yellowstone river.

The 'most' photographed spot in the park.

The name Yellowstone should no longer a question
when you see these pictures.

Have seen the 'grand' Canyon of Yellowstone,
from the South, from the North,
from the top and the bottom.
A good hike from Artist point (really the best view),
down to all waterfalls, up to Inspiration point.

Down "Uncle Tom's", what was earlier, ladders and ropes,
are now just 528 steps. But impressive view and feeling
of the lower Yellowstone river falls.

Now in Cody, Having dinner in Buffalo Bill's
authentic hotel (called the Irma Hotel).
Later on this  Cody, Buffalo Bill

  1. Hey Jan. Looks like you're heading North and into Montana. Are you planning on going into Glacier NP? If so here are a few recommendations (Sharon and I just got back from an amazing 8 days there). Hike up to Gunsight Lake and from there to Blackfoot Glacier. The lake was probably the most beautiful I have ever seen and you can scramble up the lateral moraine left by the glacier; quite an amazing sight.

Go to the North Fork area. We spent the night at Upper Kintla lake and saw bears right on the trail both on the way up and back. Make sure to stop for beer at Home Ranch Bottoms (you'll see it along the Outer North Fork Road indicated by lots of signs). The bartender is very talkative and the people in there make for great conversation. You'll love it.

Also, hiking along the Belly River was beautiful and Two Medicine Pass offered the most wildlife.
