May 2013

Not much to report. Mainly reading some books,
and observing the colibri's in my garden.

And enjoy also still some of the beers a brought
back from Utah.

The brewers have not only created some great beers,
but they wanted to make some interesting statements
within the Mormon state.

EVOLUTION, AMBER ALE. On the bottle:
This beer was part of our protest to the
Utah Legislature's attempt to mandate
the teaching of intelligent design in our
public schools. We think church and
state should stay separated, even in Utah.
Created in 27 days, not 7.
Darwin Approved.

Or this one:

The 1 St Amendment Lager was born as a
commemoration to our protest of the Utah
legislature's attempt to silence our
1 St Amendment rights. In response to our
sometimes irreverent ad campaigns, the
Utah beer excise tax was raised in
retaliation. Our response was to re-enact our
version of the Boston Tea Party by dumping
four kegs of beer into the Great Salt Lake.
Give me Liberty and give me a Cold One.

They are also the brewers of the infamous
"Polygamy Porter".
At least I can say that "I've tried polygamy".
Who said coveting was a sin ?

But still in most places in Utah, they are guilty
of blasphemy. They are really insulting in the name
of the gods, by withholding the people the best
things there is to enjoy.
